Questions and answers

Short and to the point: about accuracy, time, data, price and what 4MySelf is not. The main thing in one sentence: the test result is a working hypothesis based on your answers, not a diagnosis.

About the result

How accurate is the result?

We don't quote accuracy percentages and don't cite studies — the tool is new, and any number here would be a promise with nothing to back it. The result is a working hypothesis based on your answers: the questionnaire sees only actions, and only as you describe them. The more honestly you recall real situations, rather than "how it should have been", the closer the hypothesis is to you. Checking it is simple: read the report and compare it with what you know about yourself and what those close to you say.

How long does the test take?

35 to 60 questions: 21 general ones, 5 about major decisions and the clarifying ones — as many as it takes to put your traits in order. Each question is one scene and two or three taps. You can stop at any point: answers are saved as you go, and your personal link brings you back to the same question.

Is this a personality type test?

No. A "personality type" is one box from a ready-made list, and 4MySelf doesn't sort people like that. By the method, character is always a mix of three or more traits out of seven, and the result is a pairing of your two leading traits with their shares plus a breakdown of the rest. So there are no four-letter codes or ready-made categories here: two people with the same leading trait but a different second one are different people.

What happens to my data?

There is no sign-up, and we don't ask for an email for the free result. Your answers and result are kept under a long, unguessable link that only you have. You can delete everything with a button on the result page: the answers, the profile and the report disappear, and the link stops working. A purchased report is kept until you delete it yourself.

Can I retake the test?

Yes, at any time. A new run gets its own link, and the old result doesn't go anywhere — together with the purchased report, if there was one. That way you can compare what has changed.

About the full report

How much does it cost?

The pairing, its essence and the trait breakdown are free. The full report of up to 2000 words is $35, one time, no subscription. The price is shown on the button before payment; the charge goes through Stripe.

What if the report can't be produced?

If the text of the report couldn't be prepared after payment, the money is refunded automatically and you get an email about it.

Can I compare myself with a partner or colleague?

Not yet: comparing two specific people is the product's next step. For now the full report tells how you get on with people led by each of the traits in four contexts: in a team, with a manager and a subordinate, in partnership as equals and in close relationships.

About the test

Who is this test for?

For those who want to understand themselves: which work suits them, who they get on with and why, where their own risks lie. It is not for assessing job candidates and not for pigeonholing someone behind their back. It is not a medical tool: it says nothing about health.
